Fr Lincoln
TUESDAY 7 MAY-FRIDAY 10 MAY: MIDWEEK MASS
There is no Mass on Bank Holiday Monday. Midweek mass resumes on Tuesday at 12.30pm. Next week we will be celebrating the Ascension on Thursday, so do come along to pray in the peace and quiet of our Lady Chapel. The church will also be open from 12pm-3pm each day for private prayer, except for Bank Holiday Monday.
THURSDAY 9 MAY: ASCENSION DAY
The Feast of the Ascension is on 9th May. Mass will be said at 12.30pm, so do join us if you can!
FRIDAY 10 MAY: LONDON DEAF CHURCH
Our friends at the London Deaf Church will be holding their next TGIF Fellowship Evening at the Annunciation on Friday 10 May, 6.30pm-8pm.
SUNDAY 12 MAY: ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING
Our APCM will be held on Sunday 12th May straight after Mass. Our annual meeting receives a report on the church’s activities during the past year and a financial statement, and also elects churchwardens and trustees. The church’s accounts and statement are available to be read in advance, as the names held on our Electoral Roll. If you would like to receive an electronic copy, please email Fr Lincoln.
MONDAY 13 MAY: SPRING BIBLE STUDY
There’s no Bible Study next Monday, due to the Bank Holiday. The third session, which focuses on the third chapter of The Letter to the Philippians, will therefore be held on Monday 13 May. The evening runs from 6pm-7pm. Please let Fr Lincoln know if you are planning to attend.
WEDNESDAY 22 MAY: CONFIRMATION CLASS
Confirmation Classes begin on Wednesday 22nd May, 3.30-4.30pm, at Hampden Gurney school. Please let Fr Lincoln this week if you would like your child to attend – or if you are interested in learning more about your own confirmation!
SUNDAY 30 JUNE: HERITAGE FUND BLESSING OF WAR MEMORIAL
As part of our Heritage Fund Project, we will bless the restored Calvary War Memorial during a special event on Sunday 30th June, straight after Mass. We've chosen this date because it marks 100 years since the memorial's original unveiling. The ceremony will be officiated by Revd (Capt). Thomas Sander, Rector of St. Giles in the Fields and Padre at The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. In addition to the ceremony, we will be hosting an exhibition exploring the stories of the individuals remembered on the monument, as well as sharing the rich history of the church and the memorial itself. And the Victory Services Club will be providing us with delicious refreshments. It will be a wonderful community occasion!
Please kindly confirm your attendance by RSVPing here to help with catering (https://forms.gle/8x35wGFn1AWgEgvGA) or by emailing Fr Lincoln.PASTORAL SUPPORT
Fr Lincoln is available for pastoral support and prayer. He is happy to plan occasional offices, such as baptisms, or to arrange things like “home blessings” or confessions. Do get in touch.
GENEROUS GIVING
We need everyone at the Annunciation to commit to regular giving, ideally making use of the “Parish Giving Scheme” to support the mission and ministry of our church. We want to respond to God’s call to reach out and serve the people of our neighbourhood and maintain our wonderful building. Your generosity is essential to making that happen.
