The Church of the Annunciation is a fine Edwardian Gothic styled building, designed by Sir Walter Tapper, with many interesting features. More detail can be found under History.

The excellent acoustics of the building serve to enhance the well established musical tradition.

As one of Central London's many famous churches, the Annunciation has been a focal point of Anglo Catholic worship for nearly a hundred years and although, only a small parish, we attract regular worshippers from London, the suburbs and internationally.

Only a short walk from Marble Arch (Central Line Station), our parish church is surrounded by a hive of activity. People from all over the world walk past the church every. Now that it is open much more often and with more happening, many also come in to worship,

to pray and to look. The church celebrates

the glories of the catholic tradition in the Church of England and draws people to experience the love of God revealed thorough our Lord Jesus Christ. Here, you should find an oasis of peace and prayerfulness, away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street.

An increase in the number of younger families coming to church has resulted in the formation of a Sunday School, where, during school term time, children over three are encouraged to join the teaching group at the beginning of the Mass.
